About the Role

Role Overview

This position supports strategic financial planning by developing detailed models, evaluating enrollment trends, and delivering actionable insights to university leadership. The Senior Analyst works closely with data specialists and finance teams to strengthen forecasting accuracy and improve decision-making across the institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models to project revenue and support long-range planning initiatives
  • Examine enrollment metrics to uncover patterns affecting student volume and retention
  • Compare actual results to budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Collaborate with data professionals to build automated reporting dashboards using Power BI
  • Support special projects including pricing analysis, enrollment strategy, and business expansion evaluations
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and monthly performance reporting for executive review
  • Analyze program-level revenue and associated expenses to assess financial performance
  • Participate in monthly close activities, conducting reconciliations and variance assessments

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel proficiency, and experience with financial modeling tools. Familiarity with Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word is essential. The role demands clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in both remote and on-site settings. Applicants must be committed to the Christian mission of the institution and willing to uphold its values in practice.

Preferred Background

  • Master’s degree or CPA credential (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in financial planning within higher education
  • Understanding of tuition revenue models, enrollment drivers, and academic program cost structures

This is a hybrid role based in Abilene, TX, combining remote work with on-campus responsibilities.
