As a Senior Applied AI Engineer, you will take full ownership of developing and scaling machine learning models that uncover insights about business risk. You'll work with structured and unstructured data—including web content, geolocation signals, and satellite imagery—to build systems that transform raw inputs into actionable intelligence.
What You'll Do
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning projects, from problem framing to production deployment.
- Extract meaningful patterns from diverse datasets using advanced techniques in NLP, statistical modeling, and deep learning.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management and Software Engineering to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Operate within a two-week sprint rhythm, delivering measurable progress with speed and precision.
- Drive innovation by testing new approaches, measuring outcomes rigorously, and iterating quickly.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of combined experience in data science and software engineering.
- Strong command of Python and core data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- Proven ability to deploy models into production environments and maintain them at scale.
- Deep understanding of applied machine learning, particularly in NLP and statistical inference.
- Comfort bridging data science and engineering—equally at home prototyping and writing production code.
- A bias for action: you find ways forward, break through blockers, and stay focused under pressure.
- Commitment to open, honest communication and respectful debate.
Preferred Background
- Hands-on experience with AWS services.
- Exposure to data engineering pipelines and analytics workflows.
