Role Overview
Join a team building a secure, enterprise container registry solution and lead the quality assurance approach from the ground up. You'll shape testing strategy, design robust automation frameworks, and ensure software meets high standards for reliability, scalability, and resilience in complex, distributed environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the QA roadmap for a container-based platform, aligning quality goals with product milestones and deployment timelines.
- Assess and promote modern testing methodologies tailored to cloud-native systems and distributed architectures.
- Lead risk assessment and test planning for large-scale, multi-cloud deployments involving container orchestration and registry services.
- Design and implement test frameworks that validate microservices and infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cluster environments.
- Create realistic test scenarios that mimic production conditions, including workload stress, scaling events, and failure recovery.
- Build and maintain automated testing systems integrated into CI/CD workflows using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Use Kubernetes APIs, Helm, and service mesh technologies to automate validation of system health, failover, and network behavior.
- Advance infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure test environments are consistent, reusable, and reliable.
- Coach team members in advanced testing disciplines such as risk-based testing, chaos engineering, and performance evaluation.
- Participate in design reviews and post-incident analysis to improve product quality and prevent future defects.
- Work closely with DevOps to enhance monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics within automated test pipelines.
- Define quality checkpoints, release criteria, and feedback mechanisms to support data-driven release decisions.
- Integrate performance, security, and resilience testing into the development lifecycle.
- Champion quality-first thinking across engineering teams and contribute to architectural discussions with a testing perspective.
Technology Environment
Work with Kubernetes, Helm, Harbor, CI/CD pipelines, service mesh, and cloud-native tooling within the CNCF ecosystem.
