Lead the technical foundation of a high-scale SaaS platform as a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in .NET and AI systems. You'll be responsible for the full backend stack, from architecture and microservices to production AI pipelines and infrastructure. This is a core leadership role where hands-on coding meets strategic decision-making in a fast-moving startup environment.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain a scalable .NET 8.0 backend using Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design principles
- Own the end-to-end technical direction of a distributed system with 14+ microservices
- Build and optimize AI workflows across multiple LLM providers, focusing on batch processing, personalization, and cost efficiency
- Manage rate limiting, failover mechanisms, and graceful degradation across third-party integrations
- Operate and tune MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB in production, ensuring data consistency and performance
- Oversee event streams, analytics pipelines, caching strategies, and bulk data operations
- Lead Linux-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and system monitoring
- Implement robust logging, alerting, and observability practices to prevent incidents
- Guide a small engineering team through code reviews, architectural planning, and best practices
- Collaborate directly with leadership on technical strategy and product evolution
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience with .NET 8.0, C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework Core
- Proven track record building and maintaining distributed, microservices-based systems
- Strong production knowledge of MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB
- Hands-on DevOps skills with Linux, CI/CD, and remote infrastructure
- Direct experience operating AI and LLM systems at scale, including prompt optimization and provider management
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows
- Experience mentoring developers and enforcing engineering standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
