As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade analytics solutions that directly support organizational strategy. Your work will center on building efficient, user-friendly Power BI environments that turn raw data into clear, actionable intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy high-performance dashboards, semantic models, and reports using Power BI, following industry best practices for scalability and maintainability.
- Write and optimize complex DAX and M code, implement aggregations, and develop composite models to improve query performance and data accuracy.
- Engage with stakeholders through discovery sessions to understand business goals, then translate those needs into technical requirements and intuitive data visualizations.
- Champion analytics adoption by guiding teams in best practices, delivering training, and providing ongoing support for self-service reporting.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data refresh cycles, queries, and model architecture, ensuring reliability across large-scale deployments.
- Partner with business units to align reporting outputs with key performance indicators and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline. A minimum of four years of hands-on experience in advanced Power BI development—including semantic modeling, DAX, and M—is required. Equally important is a proven ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, gather requirements, and deliver insights that drive decision-making.
Strong expertise in relational database design, query optimization, and data modeling is essential. Candidates must demonstrate a history of improving and maintaining Power BI solutions for performance and usability.
Preferred Background
- Experience working with Snowflake, SQL, Salesforce, or comparable cloud-based data platforms.
- A personal portfolio showcasing original Power BI dashboard development.
- Relevant certifications in business intelligence, analytics, or the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Familiarity with emerging trends in analytics and self-service BI enablement.
