As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will work at the intersection of finance and operations, transforming raw, unstructured transaction data into reliable insights that guide executive decisions. You'll dive deep into payment cost structures—including VCC interchange, ACH, and check processing—to uncover inefficiencies, margin opportunities, and pathways for optimization.
What You'll Do
- Start with messy, incomplete data and build a clear understanding of underlying processes before modeling or visualization.
- Analyze payment flows to identify cost drivers and recommend shifts—like moving check volume to electronic methods—that improve margins.
- Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards that track customer and vendor behavior, highlighting trends tied to retention, risk, and growth.
- Produce accurate, defensible forecasts for interchange revenue and operational savings to support leadership reviews.
- Communicate findings directly to finance leaders and executives, framing data in the context of business performance and strategy.
- Ensure data integrity through consistent validation, reconciliation, and self-review practices.
What We're Looking For
- Proven ability to extract meaning from disorganized financial datasets.
- Experience investigating payment system data and translating technical details into business impact.
- Solid grasp of payment mechanisms, including interchange models and processing fees.
- Track record of building executive-facing reports and dashboards that drive action.
