Skedda is hiring a Senior Cloud Infrastructure & IT Compliance Engineer

About the Role

Shape the backbone of a secure, scalable cloud platform as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure & IT Compliance Engineer. You'll be responsible for maintaining and evolving our Azure-hosted infrastructure, ensuring it remains highly available, compliant, and aligned with best-in-class security practices. Working directly with the Chief Architect and Co-Founder, you'll play a key role in defining how systems are built, monitored, and governed across the engineering lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps using YAML, supporting mobile and web deployments
  • Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Bicep, enabling consistent and auditable provisioning
  • Enforce identity and access management policies, including regular access reviews and account lifecycle workflows
  • Support compliance initiatives related to ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR through documentation, audits, and vendor risk assessments
  • Monitor system performance and conduct capacity planning to ensure scalability and reliability
  • Implement and test disaster recovery procedures to safeguard business continuity
  • Secure company devices using MDM solutions and maintain endpoint compliance
  • Respond to incidents, lead triage efforts, and drive post-incident improvements
  • Collaborate with engineers to design resilient, cloud-native architectures on Azure

What We're Looking For

  • At least 7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or combined infrastructure and IT engineering roles
  • Proven expertise with Azure services including App Service, Storage, SQL Database, Front Door, Key Vault, and Log Analytics
  • Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR
  • Hands-on experience with Bicep or similar IaC tools for Azure resource management
  • Familiarity with observability platforms for logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting within CET, EET, or WET timezones
  • Commitment to transparency—applications must reflect real identities and professional history

Why This Role Stands Out

You’ll operate in a fully remote, flexible environment with a small, high-impact team. You'll use modern tooling on a clean, well-maintained codebase with minimal technical debt and extremely low production incidents. We provide the hardware you prefer—Windows or Mac—and empower you to influence both product direction and infrastructure strategy. Onboarding is structured and thorough, setting you up for rapid contribution from day one.
