Lead compliance innovation in a global open-source environment
As a Senior Compliance Manager within Product Security, you'll shape how compliance integrates into modern software development. You'll ensure Red Hat's offerings meet high regulatory benchmarks while advancing automation and AI-augmented workflows across engineering and managed services.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive compliance strategy for product portfolios and managed environments, aligning with global frameworks including CRA, NIST 800-53, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Work closely with engineering teams to automate compliance processes, embedding secure-by-design principles into development lifecycles.
- Lead cross-functional assessments involving Product, Engineering, and Sales, and serve as the compliance authority during internal audits.
- Engage with open-source communities to refine upstream tools and contribute to shared security and compliance capabilities.
- Mentor team members and advocate for compliance best practices across technical and non-technical audiences.
What You Bring
- Experience with Linux, GitHub, Python, and test-driven development in secure software delivery.
- Hands-on use of AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, or Claude to streamline compliance mapping and documentation.
- Deep familiarity with cloud-native platforms, especially Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical engineering controls.
- Proven success working independently in distributed, remote-first teams.
- Clear communication skills for explaining technical compliance topics to diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Background
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CISA are valued
