Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle engineering for satellite communication constellations, covering design, sizing, optimization, specification, evaluation, build, testing, and operational support.
- Translate client requirements into core technical parameters that shape the architecture of satellite communication networks.
- Develop and defend multiple preliminary constellation designs that align with customer objectives and constraints.
- Identify and propose solutions, recommendations, or adjustments when balancing cost, schedule, and system complexity.
- Evaluate capital and operational expenditures for communication systems and perform cost-versus-performance analyses.
- Run simulations to evaluate, validate, and illustrate system performance, limitations, and use cases.
- Conduct technical assessments of payloads, including capacity, interference (internal and external), traffic distribution, handover strategies, gateway placement, and inter-satellite links.
