As a Senior Data Engineer, you will architect and maintain robust data pipelines that enable timely, accurate insights across the organization. Your work will directly influence how data is collected, stored, and delivered, ensuring systems are resilient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and refine ETL workflows and data lake architectures to support high-volume, diverse data sources
- Ensure data integrity through proactive monitoring, anomaly detection, and quality validation processes
- Collaborate with analytics and business intelligence teams to deliver well-modeled, accessible datasets
- Support and enhance reporting infrastructure, providing reliable backend data for Looker dashboards
- Lead ad hoc data investigations and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders
- Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices focused on scalability and reliability
Required Expertise
- Minimum of 5 years in data engineering, preferably in cloud-based, high-velocity environments
- Strong command of Python, SQL, Docker, and AWS services including S3, Glue, Kinesis, and Athena or Presto
- Proven experience developing and managing large-scale ETL pipelines and data lake solutions
- Familiarity with Spark and distributed computing frameworks
- Ability to work cross-functionally with analytics, BI, and engineering teams to align data systems with business needs
Technology Environment
You'll work with Python, SQL, Docker, AWS (S3, Glue, Kinesis, Athena/Presto), Spark, ETL frameworks, data lake architectures, and Looker integration tools.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $150,000 to $190,000
