As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a central role in building and refining cloud-based data infrastructure that powers AI and machine learning initiatives. Your work will directly influence the scalability, efficiency, and reliability of systems that drive business outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Design and deploy AI/ML platforms that balance rapid iteration with cost-effective cloud resource usage
- Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to deliver high-impact solutions tied to core business metrics
- Establish and promote robust data engineering practices across teams, including CI/CD, automated testing, and model monitoring
- Guide engineers company-wide in data architecture and MLOps principles through hands-on mentorship
- Build resilient, scalable pipelines that support both real-time and batch processing needs
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience developing data pipelines, modeling data for ML applications, and ensuring data integrity
- Strong background in MLOps—particularly in automating testing, deployment, and monitoring of models across environments
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS, and fluency in Python, Golang, or comparable languages
- Ability to lead technical direction while working independently in a fast-moving startup environment
- Excellent communication skills, especially in distributed, asynchronous settings across time zones
- Commitment to mentoring and elevating engineering practices across the organization
Preferred Background
- Experience with Java or prior work as an ML/AI engineer
- Familiarity with Google Cloud and Snowflake
