Truelogic Software is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a dynamic Data Engineering team focused on refining data processes, enhancing monitoring, and driving operational improvements. You will work closely with application development, data engineering, and customer success teams to transform raw data into actionable insights using modern data tools and the client’s analytics stack.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into scalable and efficient data architecture and solutions.
- Build and deploy data solutions using modern data tools and the client’s analytics stack.
- Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s data and be a trusted expert on best practices for usage.
- Design and implement robust data models using Snowflake and DBT.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to identify issues, diagnose anomalies, and recommend solutions.
- Utilize AWS services to design and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Evaluate and recommend alternative cloud-based approaches to improve efficiency and scalability.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of data engineering experience or equivalent experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for scripting and data manipulation.
- Experience with DBT and Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Azure DWH).
- Solid understanding of AWS-based data infrastructure (S3, Lambda, EC2).
Nice to Have
- Additional scripting in Bash.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Prefect.
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and containerization (Docker).
- Familiarity with GitHub and Jira for code management and project tracking.
- Experience with web scraping.
- Background working with retail point-of-sale data or integration within the Cannabis industry is a big plus.
