Lead the development and enforcement of data protection strategies to prevent unauthorized transfer of sensitive information. This position plays a central role in securing outbound communications and ensuring compliance across digital collaboration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular reviews of email attachments sent outside the organization, using both automated tools and manual analysis.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Data Loss Prevention policies within Microsoft Purview and Mimecast environments.
- Monitor and analyze quarantine logs to detect potentially risky outbound messages containing files or links.
- Perform forensic analysis when personally identifiable information (PII) may have been improperly shared.
- Assess Spanish-language content in communications to detect context clues indicating data exposure risks.
- Establish and manage governance controls for messaging systems such as Salesforce SMS.
- Review identity and admin activity logs in Okta and Microsoft 365 to detect anomalies or policy violations.
- Investigate attempts to alter configurations or bypass security controls.
- Work closely with HR and Legal teams to preserve digital evidence and ensure proper documentation during investigations.
