Shape the future of a high-scale cloud platform as a Senior DevOps Engineer, leading the transformation of a critical mobility service’s infrastructure. Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of modernising cloud systems, consolidating multiple deployment environments into a unified, efficient foundation on Microsoft Azure.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the migration and unification of existing platforms—from Heroku, Vercel, and AWS—into a streamlined, scalable architecture on Azure.
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability, security, cost efficiency, and performance at scale.
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines that empower engineering teams to deploy quickly and safely.
- Implement a standardised monitoring and observability stack to ensure system resilience and fast incident resolution.
- Drive automation-first practices and foster a culture of openness, curiosity, and clear communication.
- Establish and uphold strict compliance standards, supporting ongoing ISO27001 certification and secure system design.
- Contribute to team growth by mentoring and helping onboard new engineers as the platform expands.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code, with strong proficiency in Terraform.
- Deep experience in cloud architecture, ideally on Microsoft Azure, with a track record of scaling high-traffic systems.
- Ability to make smart technical trade-offs that align with business goals.
- Confidence in managing complex, multi-cloud migrations and standardising environments.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical domains.
- A bias for action, adaptability, and a drive to improve systems continuously.
- Experience with secure systems—especially in payment processing or regulated environments—is a plus.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role requiring occasional travel to operational hubs across the UK and Ireland. You’ll operate with significant autonomy, shaping technical direction while working alongside a senior engineering team committed to innovation, inclusivity, and rapid iteration.
