Role OverviewThis position leads the deployment and management of IT infrastructure for Coherent Corp.'s operations in Vietnam. The Senior Engineer ensures that network and system environments are secure, scalable, and fully aligned with corporate IT policies, while also serving as the primary point of contact for local technical support needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network and system environments across Vietnam sites
- Respond to and resolve IT service requests from local teams
- Ensure all systems comply with corporate IT standards and security protocols
- Collaborate with global IT teams to integrate local infrastructure with central platforms
- Support voice communication systems and related technologies
- Follow and enforce site-specific EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in network and system administration
- At least one year in a leadership or supervisory role
- Proven ability in project planning, documentation, and issue resolution
- Strong command of Windows Server, network operating systems, and data communication protocols
- Fluency in both Vietnamese and English, both written and spoken
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Culturally aware and experienced working in diverse, global environments
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Preferred Credentials
- MCSE or Cisco certification is a strong advantage
Work Environment
Position is based locally in Vietnam with expectations for in-person site support and periodic travel. Engineers must adhere to all corporate and site-level EHS requirements.
