Power Factors is hiring a Senior Engineer, Linux System/DevOps (Remote/Hybrid in Greece)

About the Role

This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure systems using Linux and modern DevOps methodologies to support scalable and reliable software platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage Linux-based infrastructure across development and production environments
  • Implement automation workflows for system provisioning and configuration management
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in distributed environments
  • Ensure high availability and scalability of cloud and on-premise systems
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment pipelines
  • Maintain security standards and compliance across infrastructure components
  • Optimize system resources for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Support incident response and resolution for critical system outages
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture and operational procedures
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve system reliability
  • Manage version control and CI/CD systems for infrastructure code
  • Perform regular system audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Administer containerization platforms such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Work with monitoring and logging tools to ensure system observability
  • Participate in on-call rotations for production support

Nice to Have

  • Experience in energy or industrial software sectors
  • Familiarity with time-series databases and telemetry systems
  • Knowledge of SCADA or OT environments
  • Certifications in cloud or system administration (e.g., AWS, RHCE)
  • Background in high-availability and fault-tolerant system design
