Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of engineering design projects
- Collaborate with researchers to define technical requirements
- Create detailed design documentation and schematics
- Perform engineering analysis and modeling for system performance
- Evaluate materials, components, and fabrication methods
- Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and institutional standards
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of engineering systems
- Manage project timelines and deliverables for assigned initiatives
- Coordinate with external vendors and technical partners
- Integrate feedback from stakeholders into design iterations
- Maintain accurate records of design processes and decisions
- Provide technical guidance to junior analysts and support staff
- Stay current with advancements in engineering tools and methodologies
- Contribute to grant proposals and research planning efforts
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in engineering or related discipline
- Experience with advanced simulation software
