Role Overview
As a Senior Enterprise Device Engineer, you will lead the end-to-end integration and technical validation of enterprise customer premises equipment (CPE), including IP phones, routers, and modems, across Vodafone’s European operations. You will ensure all devices meet strict cybersecurity standards and are fully aligned with network architecture and service delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the integration and deployment of enterprise CPEs across multiple European markets, ensuring consistent delivery and compliance
- Lead lifecycle management processes, including device qualification, documentation, and retirement planning
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards and support audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to negotiate technical specifications and resolve integration challenges
- Design and maintain test environments for hardware and firmware validation of CPEs, modems, and routers
- Plan and execute functional, interoperability, and performance testing across diverse network conditions
- Support lab and field trials during the homologation process, coordinating with network and product teams
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new enterprise services and device implementations
- Work with local business units to evaluate network impact and technical readiness for new customer requests
Required Qualifications
- University degree in computer science, telecommunications, or a related technical field
- Minimum of six years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on enterprise technologies
- Strong understanding of enterprise CPEs from major vendors, access technologies, and IP routing protocols
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and their application in enterprise device environments
- Proven ability to manage complex technical projects and cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in multinational, virtual teams
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering reliable, secure solutions
