This role supports the North American retail analytics function by managing financial reporting infrastructure and delivering data-driven insights. The analyst ensures reporting accuracy, maintains data integrity, and enhances system efficiency through automation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain reporting workflows by querying data, merging sources, validating outputs, and distributing daily updates to business partners.
- Develop automated solutions using Python or similar scripting tools to streamline repetitive tasks and increase analytical capacity.
- Create and modify reports in SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence, adjusting data structures and logic to meet evolving business needs.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across reporting platforms including Tableau, Tableau Prep, and Web Intelligence by reviewing calculations, filters, and data flows.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of core performance metrics, their data origins, and the assumptions behind them to support accurate interpretation.
- Serve as the main point of contact for reporting inquiries, handling field questions and escalated support tickets.
- Analyze data discrepancies by tracing information from source systems through transformation layers to final reporting outputs.
- Provide expert guidance on reporting frameworks, data models, and business logic to ensure alignment across teams.
- Introduce reporting updates with awareness of how design choices and metric definitions impact user behavior and decisions.
- Explain technical findings clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders in retail and finance.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline, or have completed a recognized technical certification. At least three years of experience in analytics, reporting, or data-centric roles is required, including hands-on project work.
Essential skills include writing Python scripts for automation, building interactive dashboards in BI tools, querying and integrating data from multiple sources, and advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications. Strong communication abilities and a track record of independent project leadership are also required.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in retail, financial reporting, or data visualization, and those familiar with SAP BusinessObjects or Tableau platforms.

Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $81,626.80 to $114,483.20. Additional offerings include health care, retirement savings plans, paid time off, employee discounts, and a performance-based bonus or commission structure.
