As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Signup & Activation team, you'll play a key role in shaping how new users experience our products. You'll design and refine frontend systems that streamline onboarding, reduce friction, and improve conversion—directly impacting how millions engage with content across a growing suite of platforms.
What You'll Do
- Build and optimize responsive, accessible user interfaces that power critical entry points into the product ecosystem
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and data analysts to define and deliver high-impact features
- Use A/B testing and behavioral data to guide iterative improvements and personalization efforts
- Collaborate with backend engineers to design efficient APIs and full-stack solutions that support dynamic user experiences
- Contribute to technical strategy, advocate for best practices, and support the growth of other engineers
- Ensure frontend architecture supports rapid experimentation while maintaining code quality and scalability
What We're Looking For
- At least 6 years of experience developing customer-facing web applications with a strong focus on frontend technologies
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and React, with hands-on experience using Next.js in production
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and comfort working in a full-stack environment where frontend and backend are tightly integrated
- Solid understanding of state management, component design, accessibility standards, and testing strategies
- Experience integrating with REST and GraphQL APIs, and a working knowledge of personalization and experimentation systems
- Strong communication skills, with a track record of writing clear, maintainable code and documentation
- Ability to thrive in a shared codebase with cross-team dependencies and reusable UI components
- Experience using AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and problem-solving
Nice to Have
- Prior work in a growth or product-led engineering environment
- Backend experience with systems like Redis, Kafka, MySQL, or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Ability to contribute to Ruby on Rails features when needed
- A balanced approach to experimentation—moving quickly while preserving system integrity and long-term maintainability
- Strong technical leadership skills with a collaborative mindset
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid model, with team members distributed across cities in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. While remote work is supported, the role requires occasional in-person collaboration. Compensation & Benefits
Base salary ranges from $120,000 to $227,500 depending on location, with additional competitive equity.
