Lead cybersecurity compliance and system authorization efforts for high-priority federal systems within the HACS program. In this role, you will serve as the central expert on Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and Authority to Operate (ATO) lifecycles, ensuring systems remain secure, compliant, and operationally effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct RMF implementation across mission-critical platforms, guiding systems from initiation through authorization and continuous monitoring
- Develop, review, and maintain key compliance artifacts including System Security Plans (SSP), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and Security Assessment Reports (SAR)
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and oversight teams to align security controls with federal mandates
- Ensure consistent application of NIST standards and cybersecurity best practices across diverse system environments
- Support audits, assessments, and re-accreditation activities to maintain continuous compliance
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or compliance roles
- Proven track record managing ATO processes and leading system authorizations for complex federal systems
- Thorough understanding of NIST RMF, federal security controls, and documentation requirements
- Experience overseeing security compliance across multiple systems simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
