What You’ll Do
- Partner with domain specialists and product teams to define key questions and determine how machine learning can provide meaningful answers.
- Build, clean, and annotate datasets using responsible data practices, ensuring quality and fairness throughout the model lifecycle.
- Transform raw data into training-ready formats using SQL and scripting languages, applying visualization to uncover patterns.
- Design, train, and refine machine learning models, making informed choices about architecture, parameters, and evaluation methods.
- Work with large language models—both third-party and locally hosted—through fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and orchestration strategies.
- Keep pace with evolving research by reading papers, testing new techniques, and sharing knowledge across technical teams.
- Optimize models for performance and scalability in production environments.
- Communicate model behavior, strengths, and limitations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Write maintainable, well-tested, and documented code that supports long-term system reliability.
- Guide technology decisions with sound reasoning and help align them with organizational goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven expertise in machine learning research and development, including novel model design.
- Strong background in constructing datasets with attention to ethical and practical considerations.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages for data manipulation and modeling workflows.
- Experience deploying and hardening models for large-scale use.
- Hands-on familiarity with language models, including prompt engineering and integration techniques.
- Ability to visualize data effectively to support analysis and decision-making.
- Clear communication skills to explain technical concepts and model outcomes.
- Commitment to writing clean, modular code with testing and documentation built in.
Preferred Experience
- Track record of applying prompt engineering and orchestration to large language models.
- Active engagement with current machine learning research and trends.
- Experience sharing technical insights within a collaborative team environment.
