In this remote role, you'll define the strategic direction for how data informs donor acquisition, retention, and revenue growth across international programs. Your work will directly influence how resources are allocated and how success is measured at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain standardized KPIs for fundraising performance, including donor lifetime value, retention rates, and revenue forecasting accuracy
- Design and manage scalable data warehouse models that serve as the foundation for recurring reporting and executive decision-making
- Develop automated data products that reduce manual analysis and deliver timely insights to stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve upstream data quality while owning the analytical layer downstream
- Build predictive models for donor cohorts and revenue projections to guide annual planning and budget decisions
- Design and evaluate experiments to assess channel effectiveness and optimize cost per dollar raised
- Translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical leaders
- Identify systemic opportunities to improve conversion, retention, and long-term revenue sustainability
- Partner with CRM leadership to ensure data structures support accurate modeling and reporting
- Contribute to the long-term evolution of fundraising data architecture with an emphasis on scalability and compounding value
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years in analytics, data science, or quantitative strategy roles focused on marketing, growth, or fundraising outcomes
- Proven ability to define data strategy in ambiguous environments and drive adoption across teams
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and production-grade data modeling within a cloud data warehouse
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in statistical modeling and analysis
- Experience building and maintaining forecasting systems for revenue, retention, or LTV
- Familiarity with experimental design, A/B testing, and ROI evaluation frameworks
- Demonstrated success in turning analytical insights into measurable business improvements
- Ability to operate independently and influence strategy without direct authority
Technology Environment
Work within a modern data stack including AWS, Databricks, Tableau, SQL, Python, and Salesforce. The role emphasizes durable system-building over one-off analyses, with growing investment in analytics automation and self-service capabilities.
Work Structure
This is a fully remote position with the expectation of at least three hours of daily overlap with East Africa time zones. Occasional travel (2–3 times per year) is required for team gatherings and strategic planning. The organization does not sponsor visas for U.S. or U.K. employment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of $129,000 for U.S.-based hires; non-U.S. applicants will receive a country-specific benchmark during the hiring process
- Target bonus of 10% (up to $15,093 in 2025 based on performance)
- Estimated total compensation at target: $141,900+
