Role Summary
This contract position is for a Senior Marketing Analyst focused on evaluating the effectiveness of marketing initiatives—both paid and organic—on key business outcomes such as brand visibility, monthly active users, sign-ups, and subscription growth. You will play a central role in shaping how marketing performance is measured and understood across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead measurement planning for brand media, ensuring marketing investments support core business objectives and brand goals.
- Partner with Brand Marketing, Data Science, and external agencies to apply methodologies like Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), incrementality testing, and advanced attribution to assess campaign impact.
- Identify opportunities to enhance self-service analytics by gathering input from internal teams and aligning tools with their workflows.
- Establish and maintain trusted reporting on brand health metrics, including aided awareness, familiarity, and consideration, serving as the go-to source for internal stakeholders.
- Design and manage scalable data pipelines from diverse sources to ensure data accuracy, freshness, and accessibility.
- Deliver clear, insightful performance summaries and strategic recommendations during business reviews and leadership meetings.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in developing marketing KPIs that reflect real user behavior and lead to actionable insights.
- Proven background analyzing performance across digital advertising platforms such as TikTok, Meta, and Reddit.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, with a strong track record in querying large datasets and building ETL processes.
- Skilled in Tableau and experienced with Python or similar quantitative programming languages.
- Deep understanding of brand measurement techniques, including MMM, lift studies, and experimental design.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data findings for non-technical audiences.
- Self-driven with a focus on accountability, follow-through, and continuous improvement.
- Aptitude for identifying hidden patterns in data and proposing enhancements to tools and processes.
Technical Environment
SQL, Tableau, Python, ETL systems, Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), incrementality testing, and advanced attribution frameworks.
Work Model
This role supports remote work or a hybrid setup. Candidates near San Francisco or New York may choose to work on-site three days per week. Flexibility is built into the arrangement to support productivity and collaboration.
