Salesforce is looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff to join the Secrets Management team within our Data Security organization. You will design, develop, and maintain robust secrets management solutions, lead multiple initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture and streamline operations.
What You'll Do
- Own and build scalable, reliable, and self-healing services.
- Lead architecture and implementation for public cloud security services.
- Drive the architecture roadmap for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) on public cloud.
- Apply new security approaches for device-identity, authentication, attestation, and key storage.
- Prototype features to secure peer-to-peer communication over heterogeneous networks.
- Resolve complex technical issues and drive innovations to improve system availability and performance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of hands-on software development in a product-based company.
- 3+ years of development experience in public cloud environments (AWS preferred; GCP a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to translate strategic goals into technical requirements and architecture.
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
- Experience with public cloud security services.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud computing architectures and associated security designs.
- Active coding skills in at least one of: Golang, Java, C#, Python, Rust, C/C++.
- Experience in the Secrets Management space (Hashicorp Vault experience is a plus).
- Knowledge working with databases including AWS DynamoDB, Cassandra, and Postgres.
- Familiarity with open source technologies.
- Proficiency in operating systems and shell scripting.
- Demonstrated skills using Generative AI for software development.
- Proficient in networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers). Experience with TLS and mTLS is mandatory.
- Experience with agile methodologies and delivering secure software every sprint.
- Demonstrated competence in a CI/CD environment.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and team building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customer engagement experience.
Nice to Have
- Master's in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience with PKI/X.509 and knowledge of OWASP.
- Experience implementing zero trust security models.
