Role Overview
A Senior Network Engineer will lead the development and support of network infrastructure for diverse client environments. Working remotely within the U.S., you will ensure networks are secure, efficient, and aligned with business goals through strategic design and cloud integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to identify technical requirements and align network solutions with strategic objectives.
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of network projects, ensuring timely delivery and coordination across teams.
- Design and deploy scalable network architectures that support reliability, performance, and security.
- Assess existing network environments using data-driven analysis to recommend improvements in efficiency and resilience.
- Build and configure cloud-based networking solutions across major platforms including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Install and manage physical and virtual network components such as firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless systems.
- Evaluate new technologies and create standardized procedures for their integration into current infrastructures.
- Partner with security specialists to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 2700x, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
- Produce detailed documentation for network configurations, cabling, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Support team development by providing technical guidance and sharing expertise with junior engineers.
Technical Environment
Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and core networking hardware—including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless solutions—is essential. Experience in secure network design and compliance standards is highly valued.
