Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable machine learning systems focused on recommendations, ranking, and personalization, from model development through production deployment.
- Explore and apply cutting-edge modeling approaches such as deep neural networks, large language models, multimodal embeddings, and transformer architectures to improve user experience.
- Define the long-term technical roadmap for machine learning, covering model design, feature engineering, training pipelines, serving infrastructure, feature stores, orchestration, and model governance.
- Set and manage strategic objectives for ML initiatives, ensuring alignment with measurable improvements in user engagement and business outcomes.
- Mentor and develop machine learning engineers and scientists across the organization, fostering technical excellence and career growth.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO to embed machine learning capabilities across all product surfaces, supporting the evolution toward AI-native development.
- Monitor advancements in the machine learning field and evaluate their potential application to enhance platform capabilities.
- Champion the adoption of agentic workflows and AI-assisted development tools to significantly accelerate engineering productivity and innovation velocity.
