Shape meaningful financial experiences as a Senior Product Designer focused on student lending and refinancing. You'll own the end-to-end design process—from research and concept validation to shipping high-impact features—across a network of financial guidance platforms. Your work will directly influence how users compare, apply for, and manage student loans, making complex decisions feel simple and secure.
What You’ll Do
- Lead design for private student loan and refinance journeys, optimizing for engagement, conversion, and long-term user trust.
- Design and iterate on high-intent digital funnels including search landing pages, comparison tools, and application flows to improve performance.
- Develop and execute research plans that inform product direction, validate assumptions, and uncover user needs at scale.
- Turn strategic goals into actionable design problems, defining clear hypotheses and success metrics with product partners.
- Create compliant, user-friendly workflows for applications, disclosures, and prequalification that balance regulatory requirements with usability.
- Explore and define new product opportunities in early-stage, ambiguous spaces, bringing structure and vision to 0→1 initiatives.
- Work closely with engineering, content, and SEO teams to deliver accessible, performant, and search-optimized experiences.
- Use data and user insights to influence product decisions, advocating for design with clear, evidence-based reasoning.
- Help evolve and maintain shared design systems across multiple domains to ensure consistency and scalability.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products, backed by a portfolio showing measurable impact.
- Proven work in fintech or regulated spaces—especially loans, credit, refinancing, or financial comparison tools.
- Ability to lead research, experimentation, and full-cycle design independently.
- Fluency in Figma and modern prototyping tools.
- Solid grasp of UX principles for acquisition funnels and conversion optimization.
- Experience designing multi-step financial workflows with compliance and disclosure requirements.
- Skill in interpreting both qualitative and quantitative data to guide design direction.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, especially across product, engineering, and growth functions.
