Responsibilities
- Lead the identification of clinical needs and feature development for digital tools used by General, Colorectal, Thoracic, and HPB surgeons across the company's digital ecosystem.
- Conduct market and user research, propose product improvements, define requirements, and guide products through design and development phases.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure effective product launches and provide ongoing product expertise throughout the lifecycle.
- Partner with design, engineering, and internal stakeholders to support successful product delivery and adoption.
- Identify opportunities to enhance digital experiences for targeted surgical specialties.
- Build business cases for product initiatives and align key stakeholders on project priorities.
- Focus on improving pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative workflows to support surgical care delivery.
- Develop justifications for new features and products through engagement with customers and internal partners.
- Perform business analyses, including competitive evaluations, to support data-driven decisions.
- Propose platform capabilities tailored to surgeon needs within the My Intuitive environment.
- Apply qualitative and quantitative research methods, including customer interviews and observations, to shape product strategy.
- Refine product specifications using input from customers, clinical sales, and engineering teams.
- Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, sales, and marketing to execute product plans.
- Represent product management in development, deliver market and product requirement documents, and guide tradeoff discussions with design.
- Collaborate with Human Factors and Interaction Design teams to define requirements, prioritize design work, and document decisions.
- Communicate product value to global marketing for consistent positioning and messaging.
- Track product performance through adoption metrics and post-launch feedback collection.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of surgical procedures by reviewing clinical literature, attending medical conferences, and engaging with physician experts.
- Co-develop global commercialization strategies with regional marketing and commercial teams.
- Analyze competitive, emerging, and complementary technologies and assess their impact on product offerings.
- Work with engineering and business development to assess new technologies and prioritize innovation pipelines.
- Track and prioritize product quality concerns.
- Support resolution of critical product and customer issues through cross-functional collaboration.
- Perform additional lifecycle tasks as required, such as contributing to product education and supporting end-of-life activities.
