As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of technical project portfolios, ensuring they align with strategic business objectives. You will define technical scope, manage dependencies, and guide cross-functional teams through every phase of the project lifecycle—from planning and execution to testing, go-live, and operational transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Project Management Plans, including Statements of Work, accepted by senior stakeholders
- Monitor project performance against time, cost, and quality baselines, identifying deviations early
- Lead technical delivery checkpoints to assess progress, resolve blockers, and ensure solution readiness
- Manage formal change control processes, including CAB coordination and scope adjustments
- Oversee testing strategies, cutover planning, rollback procedures, and handover documentation
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis
- Support project architects by providing timely information and facilitating cross-team collaboration
- Review project documentation for accuracy and completeness, including progress reports and exception logs
- Escalate technical risks with clear impact analysis and proposed mitigation strategies
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering professional growth and accountability
- Ensure project activities support organizational OKRs and continuous improvement goals
Requirements
- Matric certificate with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of five years in project management, preferably in technical environments
- Proven experience with PRINCE2 (Practitioner level) and familiarity with PMBOK frameworks
- Background in hands-on technical roles earlier in your career
- Proficiency with Azure, M365, Entra, firewalls, VPN, network segmentation, and change window management
- Strong command of MS Office and project management software tools

This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely, provided a reliable internet connection and professional home office setup are maintained. In-person collaboration will take place at offices in Stellenbosch and Johannesburg.
