This role focuses on the design, execution, and ongoing management of provider incentive models that support performance tracking and value-based care initiatives. The analyst ensures data reliability across internal systems and external sources, with a strong emphasis on consistency, completeness, and correct interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain enterprise-wide incentive models that align with performance goals and payment structures.
- Verify data integrity from multiple sources, including Oracle data warehouses, and resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis.
- Establish and document business rules that govern how reporting data is defined, used, and interpreted across departments.
- Identify and validate data sources to meet evolving reporting requirements across lines of business.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation such as data dictionaries, database schemas, and reporting workflows.
- Design and implement testing protocols for data pipelines and reporting outputs, tracking issues to resolution.
- Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment on data needs and performance metrics.
- Support education efforts to improve data literacy and reporting comprehension across teams.
- Refine performance measurement frameworks, including models tied to Episode of Care and Bundled Payment methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as healthcare analytics, information systems, or business.
- 3–5 years of analytics experience in managed care or healthcare, with a focus on enterprise reporting or performance measurement.
- At least five years of hands-on data analysis, claims processing, or reporting work.
- Proven background in creating value-based care programs and incentive structures.
- Strong writing skills, particularly in developing program materials, contracts, and performance documentation.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting standards in healthcare.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office; proficiency in at least one data tool such as SQL, SAS Enterprise Guide, or MS Access.
Technical Environment
Primary systems include Oracle databases, SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL, MS Access, and the Microsoft Office Suite. The role requires comfort navigating complex data ecosystems and translating technical findings into actionable insights.
