As a Senior Sales Engineer, Strategic, you will play a central role in advancing Docker’s key enterprise relationships across EMEA. Working fluently in both German and English, you’ll serve as the technical counterpart in high-stakes sales cycles, helping prospects understand how our platform aligns with their business and technical goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead in-depth technical discovery sessions to uncover customer priorities, constraints, and decision drivers.
- Collaborate early in the sales process to shape requirements and position Docker’s capabilities effectively.
- Design and manage proof-of-concepts and proof-of-values with clear success metrics and evaluation plans.
- Deliver technical workshops, executive briefings, and architectural reviews to influence decision-makers.
- Translate advanced technical features into tangible business outcomes for diverse stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships with customer engineering teams and technical leaders to support long-term adoption.
- Work closely with sales to develop winning strategies in competitive environments.
- Coordinate with post-sales and support teams to ensure smooth transitions and ongoing value delivery.
- Create reusable technical content such as demos, reference architectures, and training materials.
- Represent customer feedback to product and engineering teams to help shape future development.
What You Bring
- Proven background as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solution Architect in enterprise technology sales.
- Experience managing complex, competitive evaluations with defined success criteria.
- Ability to engage confidently with senior technical and business leaders.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, DevOps practices, and modern application design.
- Full professional proficiency in both German and English.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Docker, container ecosystems, or related developer tools.
- Background in software development, agentic AI development, SDLC, or software supply chain security.
