Role OverviewWe’re seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our Commercial sales team in London. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with sales representatives to assess customer needs, design technical solutions, and lead proof-of-value initiatives for our data replication platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving technical validation and ensuring successful customer outcomes throughout the sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with commercial clients to understand their business objectives, data workflows, and technical requirements
- Deliver clear, tailored technical demonstrations and presentations to diverse audiences
- Orchestrate and manage structured proof-of-value engagements to showcase platform capabilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to influence product improvements and drive technical alignment
- Support sales representatives with technical depth while maintaining a strong customer-centric focus
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, cloud infrastructure, and data technologies
- Assist colleagues in resolving complex technical or strategic challenges
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four years in sales engineering, data replication, or a comparable technical role
- Proven experience with database replication, cloud environments, and data integration technologies
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses, ETL tools, data catalogs, and analytics platforms
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Problem-solving aptitude with analytical reasoning skills
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases
- Background working with ETL or data replication tools
- Experience supporting self-hosted software and infrastructure
- Networking knowledge across cloud and on-premise environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building relationships with technology partners
- Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices
- Background supporting both SaaS and self-hosted applications
- Practical experience with DBT
