As a Senior Security Engineer, you will lead efforts to protect critical systems and data by designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security measures. Your work will focus on identifying vulnerabilities, deploying monitoring tools, and responding swiftly to potential threats to ensure continuous protection of infrastructure and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain security strategies across infrastructure and software development environments.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot security tools including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability scanners.
- Monitor networks and systems for suspicious activity and implement preventive controls to reduce risk.
- Define and document security requirements, then advise leadership on effective solutions.
- Lead training initiatives to promote secure development practices across engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and conduct feasibility assessments during solution design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in security engineering or network defense.
- Proven knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- Experience with risk analysis, penetration testing, and incident response procedures.
- Familiarity with regulations including GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Strong grasp of networking protocols like TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Excellent analytical abilities and the capacity to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Advanced English proficiency (B2 or higher).
