Key Responsibilities
- Define and prioritize architectural initiatives in line with enterprise roadmaps, including prototyping emerging patterns and supporting early-stage delivery.
- Design end-to-end solutions across application, data, AI, cloud, serverless, SaaS, and security domains to ensure scalability, resilience, and innovation.
- Evaluate existing systems through in-depth reviews, identifying risks, optimization paths, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Guide development teams with technical expertise, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Research and assess new technologies to maintain a forward-looking, adaptable architecture.
- Document architecture decisions, components, and relationships to support transparency and stakeholder understanding.
- Collaborate with business and IT leaders to translate requirements into technical strategies and drive organizational alignment.
- Identify and mitigate architectural risks through proactive planning and response strategies.
- Promote consistent adoption of architectural principles across teams and projects.
- Ensure solutions comply with industry regulations and enterprise security policies.
- Engage directly with engineering squads during technology evaluation, proof-of-concept, and early implementation phases.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience as a software architect delivering enterprise-level solutions. A strong grasp of architectural methodologies, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hands-on development is essential. Experience with agentic frameworks, MCP, A2A, and other AI-driven technologies is required. Proficiency in communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences is critical. A master’s degree is preferred. Fluency in French is necessary for roles based in Quebec.
Work Environment
This hybrid position requires a minimum of three days per week in office at one of the following locations: Mississauga, Toronto, or Montreal.
