As a Senior Software Developer, you'll take ownership of backend systems built with PHP and Symfony, ensuring robust API design, efficient database interactions, and scalable service architecture.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain backend services and APIs, focusing on performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability
- Lead database schema design and optimization efforts across PostgreSQL and MariaDB, shaping data strategies for complex workflows
- Collaborate on frontend development using React, contributing to user-facing features and improving interface logic
- Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and system design sessions to ensure consistency and scalability
- Deploy and manage services in a Kubernetes environment on Google Cloud Platform, with strong observability through Datadog
- Work alongside product managers, designers, and engineers in an agile framework to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Integrate AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Gemini into your development workflow to enhance productivity and code quality
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience building and maintaining complex backend systems in PHP with Symfony
- Solid frontend development skills using React
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB, including query tuning and migration strategies
- Operational knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure on GCP
- Familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms like Datadog
- Strong collaboration skills in agile, cross-functional teams
