Responsibilities
- Build and refine internal services that support a large-scale gaming platform
- Implement new functionality, fix issues, and enhance performance across Erlang-based systems
- Configure and integrate services from multiple external game providers
- Assist in transitioning providers and managing system upgrades
- Operate and fine-tune Kubernetes deployments on AWS infrastructure
- Optimize usage of computing resources, Kafka settings, DynamoDB queries, and DNS configurations
- Work with site reliability engineers to improve system resilience and scalability
- Serve as a technical escalation point during critical production incidents
- Diagnose platform outages, determine root causes, and implement corrective solutions
- Track and adjust system capacity during peak traffic events and marketing campaigns
- Ensure system stability and uninterrupted user experience during high load periods
- Provide technical support to internal teams on API integration and transaction handling
- Develop backend systems enabling gameplay features like free spins and bonus rounds
