Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain reusable page layouts, features, and component frameworks using TypeScript and React within a Next.js environment.
- Design efficient strategies for retrieving data from headless CMS platforms via GraphQL and REST APIs, converting structured content into refined user interfaces.
- Partner with content architects to shape content models that align cleanly with frontend rendering requirements.
- Implement responsive, accessible, and optimized UIs by following design system standards and suggesting enhancements where current patterns are insufficient.
- Work in close alignment with the design system team to integrate and apply internal component libraries in page construction.
- Recognize when new UI patterns or variations are required, define clear requirements, and cooperate on solutions—either by enhancing the design system or building narrowly scoped custom components.
- Integrate AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor into daily workflows to improve coding speed and efficiency.
- Assess AI-generated code critically and share effective practices and patterns with team members.
- Support team-wide adoption of AI tools through collaborative guidance and practical example, not enforcement.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code stability and prevent regressions.
- Engage actively in code review processes by offering constructive feedback and welcoming input from peers.
- Collaborate across disciplines with designers, content specialists, and systems teams to understand content structures, component interfaces, and their integration in page assembly.
- Explain technical decisions and trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for frontend performance metrics including Core Web Vitals, bundle size optimization, and rendering approaches such as SSR, ISR, or static generation.
- Independently diagnose and fix complex issues in production environments.
- Support operational excellence by contributing to monitoring setups, documentation, and internal tools that enhance team productivity.
