About the Role
You will act as a product-focused builder within one of four domains, working alongside product managers, designers, and data and business stakeholders to develop and operate systems that power critical travel experiences, ensuring end-to-end ownership and delivering tangible customer and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Create solutions with significant business and technical impact
- Develop, test, and release dependable, scalable software in high-traffic settings with integrated AI capabilities
- Translate complex challenges into practical, fast-delivering solutions
- Enhance system performance, maintainability, and reliability continuously
- Take full ownership of systems from design through production
- Lead design, development, deployment, and operational support
- Participate in on-call duties and incident management
- Identify and address technical debt and optimization opportunities proactively
- Ensure systems are observable, fault-tolerant, and scalable
- Design architectures that support growth and stability
- Influence architectural choices with awareness of trade-offs in performance, cost, scalability, and security
- Build APIs and services that integrate seamlessly into a multifaceted travel platform
- Incorporate security principles from the outset to safeguard users and operations
- Apply product and data-driven thinking to development
- Work closely with Product Managers to align technology with business objectives
- Use data and user feedback to assess impact and guide enhancements
- Support experimentation, rapid iteration, and ongoing learning
- Promote engineering excellence across the team
- Maintain rigorous standards in code quality, testing, and documentation
- Engage in code reviews and knowledge exchange
- Help advance engineering practices, tools, and team capabilities
