Shape the future of digital finance by building core features for the MetaMask Debit Card. In this role, you'll develop both client-facing components and backend services that power card functionality across MetaMask platforms. Your work will directly impact how users interact with their digital assets through real-world spending tools.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement intuitive front-end interfaces for card management within MetaMask’s mobile and web clients using React and React Native.
- Build and maintain scalable backend services that handle card lifecycle events, transaction processing, and integration with external financial systems.
- Ensure secure, reliable connections with card issuers, payment processors, and compliance platforms to support global operations.
- Optimize system performance and responsiveness, especially under high transaction volume and real-time data demands.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver robust, well-tested code aligned with security best practices.
What We're Looking For
- At least three years of professional experience developing mobile and web applications.
- Proven expertise with JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React, and React Native.
- Familiarity with blockchain concepts, Web3 integration, and decentralized application architecture.
- Solid understanding of API design, middleware services, and cross-platform compatibility.
- Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code with strong testing and security practices.
- Experience working in agile, distributed teams with a focus on autonomy and ownership.
Nice to Have
- Background in fintech, payment processing, or card issuing systems.
- Exposure to DeFi protocols, digital asset management, or cryptocurrency wallets.
- Knowledge of cryptography fundamentals and regulatory considerations in financial technology.
- Experience optimizing performance in high-throughput environments.
- Previous work in Web3 or open-source blockchain projects.
Technology Environment
