Shape the future of enterprise orchestration by combining technical depth with customer insight. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of sales, engineering, and open-source collaboration, helping organizations adopt a modern, declarative platform for automation, data workflows, and AI orchestration.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective clients, aligning their business goals with scalable architectural solutions.
- Design and manage proof-of-concept deployments, defining success metrics and ensuring rapid time-to-value.
- Demonstrate the advantages of a universal orchestrator over legacy systems, focusing on simplicity, reliability, and extensibility.
- Provide ongoing technical guidance to enterprise customers—from onboarding and training to long-term architectural reviews.
- Handle high-priority technical escalations, collaborating with engineering to resolve issues and implement preventive measures.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable product insights, helping prioritize roadmap decisions based on real-world usage.
- Optimize customer environments by identifying performance bottlenecks and recommending best practices in scaling and security.
- Uncover new use cases across data engineering, infrastructure automation, and Agentic AI workflows to expand platform adoption.
- Engage actively in the open-source community—supporting users, gathering input, and driving improvements through GitHub and Slack.
- Represent the platform at industry events, webinars, and through technical content such as blogs, tutorials, and reference architectures.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to advocate for customer needs and accelerate resolution of critical issues.
What We’re Looking For
- A blend of hands-on engineering ability and client-facing consulting skills—you’re comfortable writing code and leading technical discussions.
- Deep knowledge in at least one domain: Data Engineering, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Platform Engineering, or AI/MLOps.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems, propose workarounds, and recommend long-term fixes.
- Clear communication skills—capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Building production data pipelines using dbt, Spark, Snowflake, or DuckDB.
- Working with Terraform or OpenTofu, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, including LLMs, vector databases, and model deployment patterns.
- Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster—and an understanding of their limitations.
Technology Environment
You’ll work with a modern cloud-native stack including dbt, Spark, Snowflake, DuckDB, Terraform, OpenTofu, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and orchestration platforms such as Airflow, Prefect, and Dagster.
Why This Role Matters
This is a foundational hire for the field engineering function. You’ll help define how technical engagement is structured, influence product direction, and directly impact the growth of a global open-source ecosystem. With a remote-first culture and flexible scheduling, your focus stays on delivering value—not office logistics.
