Join a specialized team focused on the deployment and configuration of secure, enterprise-grade storage solutions within classified environments. This role is ideal for a technically proficient engineer who holds an active TS/SCI clearance and is prepared for full-time travel across the United States to support high-impact infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure enterprise storage systems according to approved designs, including new installations, system upgrades, and data migrations
- Provision storage resources, manage LUN presentation, coordinate SAN zoning, and verify host connectivity
- Perform firmware updates, system refreshes, and expansion activities with minimal service disruption
- Support deployment windows and cutover events, ensuring systems transition smoothly into production
- Validate system redundancy, failover capabilities, and post-deployment stability
- Diagnose and resolve issues across storage arrays, SAN fabrics, host multipathing, and server integrations
- Work closely with virtualization, server, and network teams to align deployment activities
- Document configurations, implementation steps, and as-built environments
- Assist in customer handoffs and operational transition processes
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Proven experience deploying enterprise storage platforms
- Strong understanding of RAID, storage pools, LUN provisioning, snapshots, and replication
- Expertise in SAN technologies, including Fibre Channel zoning, host connectivity, and multipathing
- Experience upgrading and maintaining storage firmware
- Integration experience with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Windows Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Strong troubleshooting skills during live deployment cycles
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with HPE Primera, HPE Alletra, Dell Technologies, NetApp, or legacy EMC storage systems
- Experience with Cisco MDS, Brocade, Juniper, or Ar6uba SAN switches
- Ability to lead deployments independently in secure environments
- Strong communication skills when working directly with customer teams
- Capacity to manage multiple concurrent deployment projects
Work Environment
This is a travel-intensive position requiring deployment at customer sites nationwide. Expect Monday-through-Friday travel during most weeks, with limited remote work opportunities. The role is not remote-first and demands on-site presence for implementation and validation.
