Calix is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager (Telecom/Network)

About the Role

Lead the delivery of next-generation connectivity solutions by managing end-to-end technical programs that span hardware, software, and integration across distributed teams. In this role, you will drive EXOS-based initiatives from early concept through to global deployment, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, technical requirements, and market timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of complex technical programs, defining scope, milestones, and resource plans to deliver high-quality, scalable products on schedule.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, software, test, and quality engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and execution across disciplines.
  • Proactively identify risks, resolve cross-team dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
  • Establish clear communication channels to provide leadership and stakeholders with regular updates on progress, blockers, and corrective actions.
  • Define and track performance metrics to measure team productivity and drive continuous improvement in development processes.
  • Leverage deep technical knowledge to evaluate designs, ensure compliance with system requirements, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Work effectively in a fast-moving environment where agility, precision, and accountability are essential to success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred in a technical or engineering-related field.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in technical program or project management within engineering-driven organizations.
  • Strong grasp of hardware engineering fundamentals including high-speed signaling, power design, multi-layer PCBs, and CPU subsystems.
  • Experience managing product development through ODM/JDM partners and familiarity with NPI and manufacturing processes for complex electronics.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office for planning, tracking, and collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams and leadership levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems efficiently, and maintain quality under pressure.
  • Experience working with cross-functional, global teams in a remote or hybrid setup.

Preferred Background

  • PMP or PgMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience using PowerBI to create and manage complex reports and dashboards.
