We are recruiting a Senior User Experience Designer to collaborate with our product development team in constructing an advanced Data Science Platform. This position demands leadership in user research, experience design, interaction modeling, and usability engineering. The Sr UX Designer will closely collaborate with Product and Development teams in Paris to comprehend business requirements, conduct comprehensive research, and establish design standards and best practices for platform and feature development. You will drive transformative changes throughout product development by delivering compelling presentations through written, verbal, and visual communication methods.
Your role will critically involve shaping Dataiku's data-driven interfaces, emphasizing data visualization, exploration, and actionable insights. You will design user experiences for charts, dashboards, and narrative presentations, ensuring business users can effectively build, analyze, and communicate insights with clarity. Additionally, you will contribute to developing collaborative workspaces that enable teams to organize, consume, and interact with data efficiently.
Dataiku's Data Science Platform aims to create the most ergonomic and comprehensive solution addressing diverse data science needs—from citizen data science to advanced custom analytics. You'll work alongside a unique interdisciplinary team of Data Scientists, Developers, UX Designers, Researchers, and Product Managers, gaining comprehensive insights into professional software development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and analyze concept validation studies with user samples
- Research consumer behaviors and expectations
- Prepare compelling presentations of findings and improvement recommendations
- Translate UX recommendations into visual design concepts
- Create and test wireframes, user flows, and prototypes
- Negotiate design requirements with cross-functional teams
- Develop and maintain design style guides
- Participate in defining in-house design language
- Stay current with UX design trends
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficiency in design software (Figma, Miro, Sketch, etc.)
- Minimum 10 years UX design experience
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Comprehensive understanding of design methodologies and tools
- Web development technology knowledge
- Portfolio demonstrating interaction/service design work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction or related field
- Experience integrating user research into product design
- Professional software development environment experience
Ideal Qualifications:
- Experience designing scalable charting experiences
- Expertise in creating intuitive data consumption interfaces
- Background in conversational interface design
