Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with core AWS technologies such as EC2, RDS, Lambda, and VPC networking in production environments
- Proficiency with observability tools including Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch for monitoring distributed systems
- Proven ability to manage and version infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
- Solid programming experience in Python and TypeScript for developing automation scripts and system tooling
- Demonstrated track record in defining and managing Service Level Objectives and error budgeting practices
Nice to Have
- Professional background in energy, utility, or critical infrastructure industries where system uptime affects public services
- Hold current AWS certifications that validate advanced knowledge of the cloud platform
- Familiarity with security and compliance standards such as NERC CIP, ISO 27001, or SOC 2, particularly in utility contexts
- History of establishing SRE frameworks from inception within rapidly scaling technology organizations
