This role is responsible for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of healthcare imaging platforms that support essential medical services. The engineer ensures systems remain highly available, scalable, and performant through proactive monitoring, database optimization, and incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor infrastructure health and database performance to sustain 99.9%+ uptime for mission-critical applications, identifying and resolving bottlenecks before they impact service delivery.
- Analyze database behavior to detect anomalies, performance issues, or degradation, and maintain alerting systems, dashboards, and tuning strategies to support rapid response.
- Improve SQL Server performance by reviewing query execution plans, refining indexing approaches, optimizing slow-running queries, and scheduling routine maintenance tasks.
- Lead the planning and execution of system deployments and database migrations, ensuring minimal disruption and full validation of post-deployment integrity.
- Support long-term scalability by evaluating resource usage trends and advising on capacity needs for growing data environments.
- Respond to complex system incidents by diagnosing root causes, coordinating with technical teams, and implementing fixes and safeguards to prevent future occurrences.
- Advance system reliability by identifying automation opportunities, refining monitoring practices, documenting configurations, and collaborating with developers to enhance application resilience.
