Responsibilities
- Manage and improve Kubernetes platforms deployed across AWS, Azure, and on-premise data centers.
- Lead responses to incidents, conduct problem investigations, and perform root cause analyses.
- Handle full lifecycle operations for clusters, including updates, security patches, node pool configurations, CNI and CSI setups, ingress rules, and Rancher administration.
- Define and maintain observability frameworks covering dashboards, alerts, monitoring systems, and SLO/SLI definitions.
- Advance GitOps workflows using Fleet, while minimizing manual effort through automation and policy enforcement.
- Deploy secure API gateway solutions and configure Web Application Firewall protections.
- Build and support distributed system architectures, including event-driven brokers and asynchronous messaging systems.
- Safeguard platform security by addressing CVEs, enforcing governance, risk, and compliance standards, and managing security scanning workflows.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and Crossplane as orchestration tools.
- Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines using Concourse, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Ensure systems adhere to PCI DSS and GDPR compliance requirements through secure design patterns.
