Cnx is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to own the reliability and evolution of our production platform. You will be responsible for operating and improving Kubernetes workflows, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, security, and observability to support our intelligent transformation services.
What You'll Do
- Operate and improve Kubernetes platform workflows, with a focus on EKS upgrades, scaling, and reliability.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment safety through features like rollback, progressive delivery, and policy checks.
- Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, and GitOps patterns.
- Strengthen our security and compliance posture via secrets management, KMS integrations, and least privilege principles.
- Improve observability and incident response by refining alerts, dashboards, runbooks, and postmortems.
What We're Looking For
- Strong Kubernetes and production operations experience, including debugging, resource tuning, and networking basics.
- Relevant AWS experience for platform operations: EKS, IAM, VPC, ALB/NLB/ELB, Route53, and KMS.
- A proven infrastructure-as-code and automation mindset.
- Clear written communication and the ability to drive work independently.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GitOps tooling like Argo CD or Flux, service mesh/ingress, and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience supporting Java microservices and common runtime tuning patterns.
