What You'll Do
Build and maintain scalable backend services that power real-time routing for global logistics and navigation. You'll work across the API and routing engine layers, ensuring systems meet strict performance and availability standards. Your contributions will directly impact how developers and applications consume routing data at scale.
Develop tooling and automation to streamline engineering workflows and improve developer experience. Design experiments to assess system reliability, capacity, and product quality, using data to guide improvements. Collaborate across teams to deliver end-to-end features, from design to deployment, including code reviews, release management, and on-call support.
Partner with product, sales engineering, and leadership to shape the future of routing services. Help define priorities based on customer needs and technical insights, ensuring the platform evolves to meet real-world demands.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing web services in Rust or TypeScript (Node.js)
- Familiarity with containerized environments such as Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes on AWS
- Strong background in monitoring, incident response, and continuous service improvement
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts including fault tolerance, consistency, and service discovery
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Interest in geospatial data and solving location-based challenges
- Commitment to inclusive collaboration and working with diverse teams
- Ability to approach problems methodically, using data and experimentation to drive decisions
