Shape the foundation of financial integrity at scale
We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead technical efforts in building reliable, auditable systems that transform booking activity into accurate financial outcomes. With over 300 million financial events processed each year, our platform is central to ensuring trust, compliance, and long-term scalability across revenue-critical workflows.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical direction for the revenue domain, designing robust architectures that support correctness and traceability at scale
- Build and maintain backend services that convert end-to-end booking data into accounting-grade financial records
- Own the evolution of core financial primitives, ensuring alignment across teams and systems
- Develop tooling for tax validation, foreign exchange integration, and auditable changes to financial data
- Champion operational excellence, balancing feature development with system health and reliability
- Mentor engineers and help strengthen engineering practices across the organization
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring, with experience building production-grade services from the ground up
- Proven ability to design scalable, service-oriented and event-driven systems in cloud and containerized environments
- Experience with observability practices and modern monitoring tools in distributed systems
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
- Curiosity about applying AI to improve development workflows and system efficiency
Preferred Background
- Experience in fintech, marketplaces, or regulated financial domains
- Focus on data correctness, audit trails, and safe system evolution
- Ability to contribute across the stack, including frontend components
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid model with primary locations in Berlin, New York, and Bangkok. You’ll work three days per week in office (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) with flexibility to work remotely two days per week. You also have the option to work from anywhere for up to 30 days per year.
